The MMedia server allows live broadcasting of events using software that sends the video signal from the user's computer to the UV multimedia server, and this is responsible for sending this TV broadcast to as many viewers as connect to the URL of the event.
Any PDI teaching staff or PAS administrative staff who is a UV user can make a live broadcast using their own computer, with its multimedia equipment and software as recommended by the SIUV (Servei d'Informàtica, IT service) broadcasting to MMedia.
The Servei d'Informàtica recommends using Adobe Media Live Encoder (free), which once installed and configured will send the video signal from your computer to MMedia which will broadcast it over the internet.
There are other programs (usually requiring payment) which also allow you to send the RTMP video signal to MMedia and which we have successfully tested. For example XSplit Broadcaster.
